Win8 browser lags on 2nd screen

Hiya,

I have 2 monitors and after recent change to win8 I've noticed that when I play games on 1st screen and have the browser open ( say youtube etc) on the second screen - the browser starts to lag a lot ( low framerate, freezes ).

This didn't happen under win7.

Any idea?

All I can suggest is that you check your Graphics card drivers. Make sure they are of the most update version for Windows 8?

Also, update Flash Player.

Could be just immature drivers, I've found graphics drivers in particular to be somewhat low quality on Windows 8.

What browser?

Fixed, nothing to do with drivers etc as I've had latest since start but it had something to do with advanced power settings, apparently windows 8 has power settings for everything even browsers so setting it all for max seems to have worked

Yeah, it's the latest drivers that are causing me no end of trouble. But anyway, which power settings did you change specifically?

Firefox used to do this on my second screen on my work machine, disabling hardware acceleration in preferences fixed it with no discernible effect on performance.
