Win98 bootdisk USB

Hello, please could some one gimme a hand making a windows boot disk USB so i can flash my graphics bios, i followed 3 or 4 guides but every time i get to the part where i select the win98_bootdisk.iso it says it cant find any suitable files.

Im using a 32gig USB stick, i just cant figure out what im doing wrong. :confused:

can you not just use rufus to put the iso on the usb.

I tried it, i just get an error msg when i try to select the iso, i tried HP USB Disk tool also and i get the same thing. I tried downloadind a few different version of the boot disk iso including SE and i just get the same msg, "This version of rufus only suppports bootable ISOs", and on HP tool i get "there are no valid dos system files at this location" .

All of the guides i followed suggested teh same location for a bootable ISO so i wouldnt have thought im using the wrong one but i cant be sure.

try this, doesn't use an iso, but you could extract the iso in winrar, think same files as the zip used here.

Can you not just use FreeDOS? Pretty sure I did this back in the HD5XXX days

I found that one and gave it a go originally, it just doesnt seem to recognise the files even after i extract them.

thx guys, using FreeDos seems to work just fine, now im free to destroy my gpu bioses
