Winamp 5.23 not working

Every time I try and use Winamp 5 I get the "This program has encountered a problem, do you want to send an error report etc."

I've updated it from 5.22 to .23 but it still does it. This is a real pain in the arse since I love Winamp and especially the MMD skin.

Ive since downloaded Foobar2000 (didn't like) and musikcube (which was fairly decent) but given half the chance I'd still return to Winamp.

Can anyone help me? Cheers.

Have you gone to the Winamp forums to see if that bug has been reported or if there are any fixes/workarounds?

keep using .22 till its fixed/.24 is released? :confused:

I think he has this problem with any 5.xx release.

oh. well in that case if you cant get it working by completely removing it first, then installing .23, then id suggest using the last one that worked lol

well actually, id suggest taking the time to learn the way of the foobar, but he's already tried that

Admittedly I haven't really giving foobar a go, I was just using the basic foobar without any plugins. So I felt it was lacking library features such as Recently Added, and it didnt look too pretty.

I'll try uninstalling Winamp and then re-installing it.

Ok, re-installed it and it seems to have worked. Fingers crossed
