WinAmp 5.24 CPU Usage

It's absolutely raping my CPU, constantly using at least 85% of my processing power (3500+)

Any idea why it might be doing this? It's getting a bit annoying now, and I swear it never did this before the 5.24 update...
 
Have you tried the 5.30 version? OK granted you might not want 5.30 but at least try it out and see if the CPU usage is still high with that. If it isn't then we really do know it is the 5.24 release and we can work with that.

Have you checked out the Winamp forums for this?
 
5.30 didn't fix it. What did fix it was turning off my visualisation.

Looks like we'll be using it without visualisations from now on then...

Which visualisation was it that caused the problem? Or is it any of them? I ask because I found some interesting results on the Winamp forums. Do any look relevant to you?

Yeah, agree. I've always stuck with the old skin on Winamp for that very reason.
