Winamp (+playlist) question

Essentially what I'm still doing is adding files manually from their location on my hard drive into Winamp's "Playlist Editor" and then playing them. I'm still ripping through my cd collection and having a listen, and there are a lot of songs (i.e. several hundred). More importantly some remixes on an EP I like, some I don't, so I listen to it and then remove what I don't like and leave what I do.

As time's gone on there's a list of all the songs and remixes that I do like in the Playlist Editor and is there anyway in Winamp to create a giant 'rolling' playlist if that makes any sense? Such that then when I rip a new cd and find a few tunes from it I like, they can be added to it as time goes on. I also want to save this playlist in a location where it can easily be backed up.

I'm sure it's pretty obvious but I'm not sure what I'm doing with playlists. It's also because the function to delete a song is right above the option to crop them, which deletes everything.

Well you could make a master playlist of your actual media library. This would add everything you want. In your audio section, right-click on All at the top of the screen and navigate through Send To > New Playlist.

Then as you add new stuff, right click on the artist/album/song(s) you want to add and right-click then navigate through Send To > Media Library Playlists and just choose whatever you called your global playlist.

Hope I've had a go at answering what you are asking for. :)

You have, it's ok though I figured it out after I posted a new thread. :o

I've done it by opening the Media Library and adding all the files. Then using the manage menu, save it. :)

Yeah it must be. You have a problem you can't solve. So you post on a forum and you make sure you explain the whole situation properly so anyone replying knows what they need to. Somehow writing it all up and posting makes the brain realise something you've not tried. :D
