Winamp Skin Problems

was wondering if anyone else had problems with winamp skins? i'll list the ones i use and their problems

Spirit Black/ Spirit White - Progress bar does not progress after the skin has been set and winamp closed then re-opened, have to set the skin again for it to work

Ebonite - Causes winamp to stop functioning properly and ends up with a playlist of 1 song and i can't do anything with it till i close it and open it with a different skin

Dynamic - When selected it shows shuffle mode status, repeat mode status and the playing position, but these should only be shown if hovered, which its not, it should display, album, title, artist

There are loads of skins that do all sorts of funny things to my winamp. Best avoid them like the plague and stick to ones that work for you.

Also try the winamp forums or the skins page - sometimes people report the duff ones.

Bento Big!! :cool:

I used to have loads of different skins!.. all with some little problems (from images missing giving green squares.. to full blown crash outs)... I now just use Bento Big as it shows all the info I want plus Album Art :cool:

I've always used the default skin. Although I change the color to match my desktop.

dont like bento as i like to have the play list seperate and i cant with bento, so i just have to use modern.

i like it to show as little as possible.

other thing i have found which i find stupid is that some cant handle the amount of songs i have in my full playlist (13,000 tracks)

There's a new Bento skin (I found it and posted a link in another thread). There's also a new version of Winamp out and I think it includes and old school type Bento format skin.

Its called 'Bento Classified' http://www.winamp.com/skins/details/170606 Old Skool Winamp skin with a bento look!.. but no Album Art!!
