Silly one this.

WinAmp has started to crash. Either just after it starts up, or within a few seconds of it ... No more than about 15 seconds anyway.

My PC has been rock solid since day 1 and I am just wondering if there is any known issue with winamp? right now?

That said, I could possibly do with a fresh install... Its seriously chokka.

Its just that the PC has been absoluitely flawless for so long and winamp is the one and only app that crashes, and no matter what I do, I cannot stop it doing it.

My Winamp has turned a bit flakey as of late too. A couple of legit MP3s I purchased crash it as soon as I try to play them, but also if it tries to add them to the media library. Few other odd niggles too like Enqueue not working.

Started moving over to Foobar now, it's a gradual process but at least it works!

Never had Winamp crash on me.

I use EAC with Lame (latest stable), VBR0. Have used this combination for about 10 years.

I have used WinAmp since the Pentium 133 was king of the hill, and it has been absolutely rock solid in all that time.

I have the very latest version installed, but with the issues, I have gone back a few versions and they work for a time, but they also get iffy too!

Now, I have also noticed that MobileGo has also started to fail, and so Im thiunking that I will just reinstall Windows as its probably just getting bunged up, but I have had a peek at the programs list and I have removed a few that Im struggling to remember WTF they are there for, and I have also run CCleaner and sure enough, I think that may have helped... Diddnt help MobileGo and thatI have reinstalled but WinAmp has been playing just fine today.
