WinAmp - What a great app!

I love Winamp.

Been using it since version 2. Wasn't too keen on 3 (as I'm sure nobody was) but when Winamp 5 came out (features of 3, stability of 2) I jumped right back into it.

Been using it ever since.

The MMD3 skin rocks too!

Another winamp thumbs up here, been using it for years.

.....GlassAMPfinal skin f.t.w. :D

I love Winamp, but I've gotta say... I haven't used it since moving to Vista and WMP11/WMC :o
The exit door is over there. :p

Going to get attacked here, but is it easier to manage your music than itunes?
I would say so. Haven't used iTunes in ages so I can't really give a proper answer but I'm very happy wth Winamp. I would say iTunes is more geared towards being a jukebox and interfacing with iPods but even that function Winamp is pretty good at. :)

Just installed foobar, gotta say I do like it. Had been usuing winamp forever, 7 or 8 years but I've been having problems with it
What kind of problems? :(

Well, kinda.

iTunes has more options for sorting your playlist etc. And is much easier to use to edit tags. But I use the filesystem to organise my files (fancy that!) and iTunes doesn't let me do that.

I keep my music as Artist/Year-Album/Disk x/tracno - trackname.ext

So for instance, Amon Amarth/2007 - With Oden on our Side/Disk 1/05 - Gods of War Arise.flac

I love having my music sorted by Artist > Year > Album > Track no, and with Winamp's "Sort by Path and Filename" option I can do that, iTunes just can't do it like that and I have real trouble finding songs etc.

I'd reccomend Winamp, no, anything, over the abomination that is iTunes on windows, it really can't deal with large playlists without gobbling system resources like a big pig :P

I was over the moon when they released winamp 5.5 with the bento skin. Before that I tried pretty much everything. Now winamp has everything I want straight out the box. It's great.

I'v been using winamp for past 4/5 years. Recently tried WindowsMP 11 after a fresh install, although it has improved i still much prefer WinAmp for the overall simplicity and customization. Went straight back to winamp after a couple of days

Currently using the clearONE skin, my favourite iv come accross so far.

Ive used winamp for a long time, 5-6years?!

I refused to use the modern skin for ages, then bento came along and changed everything!

Bento is fantastic!
