Post your stories of wind damage here.

We had our fence blow over in the back garden last night, and we have new neighbours moving in today... Should be interesting.

What damage have you experienced?

I ended up with water ingress in my lobby thanks to some damage on the lower back roof. More unwanted expense getting that fixed. All fresh plaster but thankfully not painted yet!

Roof damage. Two large ridge tiles have been dislodged and are still sat up there halfway down the roof waiting to be put back ( when the roofer eventually gets his finger out and turns up - phoned on Tuesday night, still no sign of him  ). We've had to move both cars out of the drive just in case one of the ridge tiles decides to make a bid for freedom. There were two roof tiles about a foot away from the wife's car on Wednesday morning, god knows how they managed to miss landing on the bonnet.

Other than that, got off quite lightly considering the horror stories some folk have got.

No damage here other than a full bin being blown over and scattering its contents. Everywhere. We've got a corregated plastic roof on top of a wooden patio construction (not really sure of it's name, about 12ftx14ft roof surface iirc, possibly bigger) that had its ends ripped apart in last years wind.... Changed it a bit this year so it's fine now though.

fence panel blew down ,next doors dog got in the garden ,our dog got his head stuck in the cat flap trying to get out to attack the intruding dog .then our dog came back through the kitchen with the cat flap stuck around his neck ,going to need some no nails as he has ripped all the screws out :(

Lost a fence panel. Will get another one this weekend. Here's a more unusual one though, the exhaust heat shield was blown half off from underneath my car! Ive ***** fixed it for now, and will sort it out properly over the weekend.

Had to take down the fence in the front garden as the posts were being ripped up so will need to concrete them in place now..... JOY. Seems that we have one hell of a wind trap at our end of the road all house in the middle seem fine. Cant complain up north seems miles worse then down here.

Loads of roof damage. Though this was during the wind we had a few months ago.

And then a few months later when the builders were retiling the whole thing...

Fortunately I rent :D

Hair got messed up and my tie was blowing around as I walked across the work car park, gutted!

Luckily no damage to house/fence etc.

Greenhouse cover was royally fudged up, it came off and its one of them 80 quid greenhouses from wilkinsons with a plastic cover.

As it stands, some pots were broke with soil in em, the cover is ripped to shreds so chucked it out other day atm its just a frame out in the backyard/garden area with some left over plants pots with soil in holding down the base.

Pretty gutted as them covers are quite expensive to replace.

1 strip of roof felt ripped off the shed. It all needed re-doing anyway, so no great shakes, just a PITA having to do it now rather than the spring.
