Hi

Having spent a lot of time trying to tell myself not to buy a 4k monitor, i i have decided my self control is not good enough! As such i will need to crossfire (if not at first certainly eventually) to get good fps, so....

Anybody got 2 windforce 290x's in crossfire?

If so how does the cooler manage the temps? How is the noise?

Also if by chance anybody has them in a FT02 feel free to go into more detail! :D

Regards

Jason

An issue I could foresee is that your FT02 only has a single 120mm exhaust fan, and considering Windforce cooler would dump heat into the case, so it's definitely not the most ideal (yes I know the FT02 has three 180mm intake fans at the bottom, but concern would be more to do with how to move the waste heat dumped from the 290Xs more effectively.)

True, i have had crossfire in the case before but that was dual 7950s windforce and as we all know the temps of the 290x are a different beast entirely.

Aye, i have considered "downgrading" to two 290s can pick up two reference ones for a little more than the cost of another 290x! Just concerned about noise and throtteling.

Not had the chance to hear the ref cooler in person so dont know how bad it really is for gaming purposes - i mean its not like the windforce is silent itself its jut not really any louder than other case and cpu fans.
