Window 7 and xbox plug and charge kit , device cannot start code 10

Anyone else getting this with windows 7 , it worked fine in Vista, so i dont think its a hardware problem, heres a screen shot

Yeah tried a different port and still the same result, its the only problem left to sort out now

the receiver is fine, its the play and charge kit thats giving me grief, ive installed xbox 360 accessaries software from microsft, which installed ok and when pressing the silver xbox button i now get the battery meter up on screen, but play and charge kit is still the same

yeah its usb, ive only tried it on the case usb ports, but everything else that has been plugged in them is fine, funny thing is its microsoft hardware

well figured id update this, ive since reinstalled Windows 7 and bought a new play and charge kit and the problem still remanes, also now i have two keyboards and two mice showing in device manager, very strange as this didnt happen on the first install.

something that i just remebered is when i boot up my bios reports 2 keyboards 1 mouse 3 hubs, but sometimes it says 1 keyboard 1 mouse and 3 hubs, looks like it could be an issue with bios then

it seems its now fixed, i ended up buying an external powered hub, and it installs fine when plugged into it, so it seems my front usb case ports dont carry enough power

The P&C cable will only ever provide power. The OP can however use the wireless pad, connected to his PC with the P&C cable, because he also has the Wireless Receiver for the PC.

yes mate, got the hub from OcUK, got the Roccat Apuri, great little thing it is aswell, can recomend it
