Hi, just a quick thread to see if anyone is having similar problems to me
system:
Intel Core i7 975
XFX x58 Motherboard
6GB DDR3 Triple Channel
120GB Corsair SSD boot drive
Geforce 9600GT 512MB Graphics
have been running windows 8 since the developer preview, installing the consumer preview and on to release preview. no issues at all, system ran fine
have bought and install Windows 8 Pro and things have all gone to pot.
Now, i have no sound, despite installing correct realtek HD codec, and video playback is choppy, regardless of format or source (ie local or on youtube)
tried latest drivers ,and also tried known good drivers that have worked with previouis win8 betas and also my win7SP1 install without luck.
was wondering if anyone else had come accross this issue or is it a case of waiting for an update to sort it?
running on release preview again for now, no hardware change and all is well.
any ideas folks?
ian
