Is there any way to get windows to not let other programs take focus away from another program that is running fullscreen? My PC is getting old now, so it takes a min to alt-tab back into a fullscreen game. The issue is that every time Microsoft Security Essentials starts to update my full screen program minimizes just so that I can see the MSE little icon show downloading. Then after I alt-tab back MSE takes focus yet again when it finishes the download.
Not only that, but for some strange reason, when I have firefox running, it must not be minimzed to taskbar or otherwise I can't run any fullscreen program. If firefox is minimized to taskbar then whenever the fullscreen program tries to go fullscreen it instantly minimizes itself, if I bring up firefox (doesn't have to be fullscreen, just as long as long as it is not fully minimized) then full screen programs can work fine again.
Is there any way to set it so that if I start running a full screen prorgam, nothing can take the focus away from that unless I manualy do so myself?
