Whist removing plaster earlier i slid the window cill out to get more acces. This loosened the bricks though so a mate is coming to reset them tomorrow.

I also removed the trim around the window as I hope to marmox board around it and then add smaller trim. The window unit it held in by 2 screws into the timber stud each side. Is this normal ? It can move a tiny bit in and out

I can't really see any easy way to stabilise it? I will fill with expanding foam once I have added sow support for the board edges. I guess once the trim in bonded in place it will strengthen the whole unit ?

Oh and I guess the cill will stabilise the bottom?

We always put 3 concrete bolts at each side of the window. If you foam it up the sides and under the sill, it should hold it nice and firm. If it's moving about the silicone seal will have broken on the outside as well, so will need re-doing once the foam has set.

Thanks all! Any recommendations for window trim. White uPVC is fine but can you get any for different profiles?

All the stuff I have seen is flat but I think the window will sit in about 10mm compared to the boarded wall
