Window Programs

I've got a hard drive from a laptop which isnt working now but the hard drive is fine.

If i connect the laptop hard drive to my computer, would I be able to run any program from the laptop hard drive from my computer?

It'll be hit and miss, some may work, most will not.

In order to do that, you would need to boot from the hard disk. I would think it would be quicker to reinstall the programs you need without going to this trouble, but if you really must then...

install the disk in another computer.
It probably won't boot, so..
Boot from the Windows install disk, select this disk and use the "repair" option.

This often works, but not 100%.
If Windows install disk can't find the existing install of Windows on the hard disk, then that procedure won't work.

You might be able to get away with running simple applications.
