Window Vac - Thoughts?

I have had a karcher for the last year or so. Its a nice idea, but ignore the streak free sales pitch.
Where they come into their own is when you want to give your windows a good wash rather than a clean. They will remove the majority of water in one pass. I usually follow up by running a rag around the seals, and then a quick once over with a foam cleaner.
For the outside of your windows I would say there isn't a huge benefit against your average squeegee, but I find mine good for the inside. Hope that helps.

Just get a squidgy ?

wet car sponge + soapy water , rub window thoroughly.
Take squidgy and a tea towel, squidgy down the window in lines wiping the rubber bit of the squidgy each time.

takes about 2 minutes per window and doesn't cost 50+ quid

If I were paying £50-99 I'd expect a robot that sucks it self to the window and does it for you

I have one and got it from refurb Karcher shop for 29 quid - don't use it for windows but for shower cubicle - after 5 min shower we spend 10 min cleaning it - blade it down - use Karcher to remove rest of water then use Microfibre towel to dry it down - Total PITA but easier than full clean each week. Shower always looks clean.- it's a fight to shower first as second has to clean it.

I've had one for several months and use it weekly, inside and out. Previously, I wouldn't wash the windows.

I'll admit to be a bit of a gadget-freak and having a gadget to wash the windows makes me wash the windows.

It's a lot less messy than using a sponge and squeegee; you're using the spraygun/microfibre bottle to apply the cleaning solution (doesn't run down window) and vacuuming as you squeegee (doesn't run down window).

I'm thinking about getting the pole so I can clean the outside of the upstairs windows.

It's not as streak-free as the advertising makes out though - maybe 95% streak-free. But there is a knack in doing it - which I'm still working on.

Have you tried that "Method" brand spray,
Don't use it myself but a friends shower is always limescale free.

I use normal limescale remover on a sponge pad, but not every day.

I don't rate the Karcher over a good wiper blade and a wet rag with fairy liquid,
but people like to spend money.
