Can anyone summarise the additions/differences in Media Center as opposed to Win Xp Pro? (except for the domain thing already mentioned)

Yep, as Otacon said it's XP Pro with the Media Centre software added. The ability to join a domain has been removed (something to do with it conflicting with media extenders), but if you need it then it can be enabled (do a search).

def go for media centre, home is just crap (annoying) with security + filesharing
