Stone,
just try ed this programme last night

and all i can think of is sUx0r this thing is absolutely crap
it really doesn't live up to all the hype for example i tried all the themes in the free version and with every theme there was problems with the task bar slider not skinning properly i re skinned and restarted my pc several times to remedy the problem

Internet explorer skinning is pathetic
it doesnt work well with ultramon
the only interesting feature was the ability to change explorer buttons

that's all

needless to say I'm now back with my modified uxtheme.dll and LonghornInspiriat theme

I also had a play with the Windowblinds trial yesterday and I am also back with the patch & preferred Classic16 theme.

I'm actually quite a fan of windowblinds. I've bought it and generally use the Vista Skin with glass (ie transparent) effect. Think that's not available in the free version.
Can't think of many skinning problems, 1 or 2 but I generally like the software. However can't comment on StyleXP etc.

never tried it... is it better than styleXP?

Theres basically protection on the UXtheme.dll that comes with windows, which Stops the use of Themes not released by Microsoft Officially. The UXtheme patch basically removes the protection, allowing the use of third party themes.
Without the need for StyleXP And WindowsBlinds, which take up system resources.

im looking for osx tiger themes for stylexp but cant find any. It comes with panther but im looking for some updated versions of it.

Anyone got any ideas?

The free version of Windowblinds doesn't have transparency (glass) effects so isn't much better than XP's built-in visual styles. I use the paid-for version and it is perfectly stable and fast.
