Windowed mode for old games

I have a collection of a old games for Win 98, i would like to know how i can force these apps to run in a window.

-window, -w and ALT+ENTER are not working.

any ideas?
 
erm, how do i do that? :(

basically got C&C, Tib Sun, Red Alert 1 & 2 that i dont want to run in full screen due to the resolution.
 
This should do the trick. It's not in English but it's self explanatory anyway, click the plus sign to add an exe file and click the play sign to activate it. Then start up the game and you're off :)
 
It could be that it's not compatible with Vista then :( Just to confirm, you are starting up the game via its folder/the start menu and not waiting for it to start when you click the play button right? Perhaps using some of Vista's compatability features will help.

Ah vista, was already thinking like: what the ....? , i have all them games in the first decade pack and they run fine fullscreen here on xp.

Try editing the .ini ( dont know for tib sun & older, but for ra2 you can manually set a higher reso than the max ingame one ) to a high reso (desktop res), like here (but then the hight to 1600x1024 or whatever res. you're on:
