windowing fulscreen things

sorry for my poor English in the title

I have risk 2 and its quite an old game, runs i assume 800x600 but it runs full screen, i want to know if its possible to run it windowed via code (no options in game). The reason behind this is so i can talk to people without alt-tab'ing which is not a lightning speed process

I really don't want to have to set up a virtual machine just to play risk2 so an alternative would be very nice

looks like a virtual machine is the only thing i can do, oh well, better get my xp disk out :rolleyes:

how annoying! i get my virtual machine working, and risk2 doesn't work on it, is this because virtual pc doesn't give access to gfx card???

how old is risk 2?

can it run from dos? if so, you can use dosbox

right click the shortcut
select properties
in the target box add the following (without the "" marks) to the end of the shortcut:-
"-windowed"

i tired it but it can't be run in dos, however this looks like a useful programt o have so thanks anyway

tried that a few days ago, didn't work then nor now

You could try DXWnd (use google) as that can force almost any DirectX based application to run in a window.

It works, but shows no mouse, however i assume i can cope, thanks very much
