Windows 10 1803 update audio problems.

Well pretty stumped , windows just updated to version 1803 and now only get audio if sound is left at its default 67%.
Have a Asus Z97-K with Realtek HD Audio.
Uninstalled old driver after i had no sound and downloaded latest R2.82 26/07/2017 driver.
Sound works but it defaults to 67% , as soon as i lower it to my normal 15% sound disappears .
Tried reverting to the last driver that was released for my mobo by Asus on 27/05/2016 but no sound there at all.
Do have a DAC that works fine but would like to get the onboard audio back to normal.
Any suggestions ?

No , last bios update is from 15/04/2016

Finally got it working , had to manually remove every single file from the old realtek driver install , remove Asus Suite 3 (which windows update broke again).
Install the new driver and all seems fine , probably until 1804 is released then do it all again.
