Windows 10 1903 ready for download

It just stops at what i think is close to the last stage and says that a driver or something is not compatible, I dont need to update so will just forget about it, let MS sort it out.

Mine downloads and installs but it blue screens after bios screen luckily it reverts back to 1809. I'm not going to update either. I'm on Ryzen 2700x and tried the raid drivers which isn't compatible apparently.

I can't get this update installed on my 2017 MacBook Pro at all. The update appears to start off fine but after the second restart I get a message to say that it is undoing the changes made during the update. This happens regardless of whether I use the Windows 10 Update Assistant or just the normal update route.

Installed on several of our work PC's last few days and not had any problems as yet, these are Intel based systems the AMD ones haven't prompted the update yet.

Installed it on two Ryzen APU platforms earlier and 1 went on without any issue, the other blue screened half way through and had to recover itself back to the previous version.

5 devices from 2009 (Asus Eee) to 2 years old all now on 1903. Apart from screen going blurry when I log on I cannot see ANY difference to 1809. Am I missing something?

No issues here, updated 3 machines and ran smoothly but they are all Intel machine (no idea if it makes any difference).

If it's the issue below then there seems to be a fix:

Ryzen systems and 1903 update

Ah just saw that it was posted earlier in the thread too

I don't have RAID, tried to install the drivers but it just says I don't have RAID and its not compatible so it does nothing.

Same problem , 2700x x470 Asrock Taichi, Samsung NVME and 4 SSDs, but no raid. Tried the raid driver but same message when trying to install which is fine.

Saw a thread on reddit to uninstall Battleye, which i did, but still nowt.

**EDIT 2 ***
Bah, wouldnt update as i'd left a USB stick plugged in, didnt even realise. It went through the whole shebang before throwing the error. Trying again ....
If you have an external USB device, SD memory card or UFS card attached when installing Windows 10, version 1903, you may get an error message stating "This PC can't be upgraded to Windows 10." This is caused by inappropriate drive reassignment during installation.

An external USB device, SD memory card, or UFS card that is attached to the computer can cause an inappropriate drive reassignment on Windows 10-based computers during the installation of the Windows 10, version 1903 update. For this reason, there is an update hold on computers to prevent them from receiving Windows 10, version 1903 if this situation is detected. This generates the error message that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section if the upgrade is tried again on an affected computer.

Thats worked ok, havent used it enough to check for issues.

Did gain 100 points in Firestrike Ultra

5689 on Monday to 5793 today, thats with 2700x with PBO on, Vega 64 in Balanced, with the Vega memory clocked up a bit dunno, previously had something like 6050 a few months back, will try later. So potentially the Ryzen scheduler fix is contributing.

Some ppl are reporting massive gains in the older Firestrike, but whether those gains translate to real world, dont know. I dont have a run on Ryzen pre update so cant say ..

I think theres a Ryzen chipset update coming that may further improve the performance with 1903

https://www.pcgamer.com/amd-ryzen-3000-release-date-price-specs/

The Windows 10 May 2019 update improves on the Windows scheduler, and combined with a new AMD chipset driver (which isn't available to the public yet), thread scheduling should be better. This could improve performance by 5-10 percent in some workloads, and it will be available for all Ryzen and Threadripper platforms by the time the new CPUs launch. What isn't clear is how much of the performance increases AMD showed in its slides will come just from the Zen 2 architecture, and how much comes from the new scheduler, but I'll look into it more once I have CPUs in hand.

Arrggh black screened during install of 19.6.1 Amd GPU drivers, had already reinstalled Chipset drivers ok to make sure they were update to date and they worked fine.

When rebooted , fortunately it come back , but without the Radeon Control Panel, tried again, got error
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-kb1603?DID=687F|||&VID=1002|||&CPU=AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor &OS=WindowsRS&OSBIT=64&OSLANG=en_US&utm_campaign=rserror&utm_medium=application&utm_source=driver-installer&utm_content=error1603|IM_GENERAL_ERROR_INSTALL/

Went to windows update, has your device is missing important security and quality fixes. Running again at the mo.

PS Somewhere between 1903 and reinstalling chipset drivers, my power plan has gone back to Ryzen Balanced - probably chipset drivers. Put it back to Windows balanced as Ryzen balanced has min processor state of 90% ish. I thought it was understood that Ryzen Balanced hasn't been needed for quite some time due to previous scheduler fixes, so why are the chipset drivers from May 2019 still setting this ... oh well.
(chipset driver was 19.10.0429)

EDIT...
So couldn't get 19.6.1 to install, tried the steps on the AMD page SFC, DISM etc, downloaded DDU and cleaned, reinstalled. All seems ok ish, but i think DDU dumps some of the chipset drivers and not sure if 19.6.1 Gpu puts em back.
Now wondering if the reinstall of chipset drivers cocked stuff up but wary of trying them again.

One thing i noticed was 19.6.1 GPU didn't ask if i wanted to install Re-live and I did previously have that installed .. maybe that was the issue and DDU got rid of it ..

Hohoho all good fun, really glad I forced this one through (

Has anyone tried running Fallout 4 after updating to 1903 ? on my system it crashes to the desktop just after opening the window. Rolling back to 1803 fixes the problem, I have tried updating video and audio drivers?

Windows 1809 and 1903 both break fallout 4 rolling back to 1803 fixes it every time.
Nvidia 1080ti on 430 drivers, was on 419
Asus Rog v extreme with 5820k using onboard audio and nic.

Fallout 76 works on all three versions

Same as The Witcher 3. Just crashes and closes with no error. Happens on 1903 and 20H1 with latest drivers. Get to play around 10-15 minutes then a crash. Sometimes more often.

Reverting back to 1809 fixed it.

Almost 1 hour and it looks like it worked, its now updating the update.
Had a go on Forza horizon 4 Lego and its running fine, will try some other games.

Failing to install,

Feature update to Windows 10 (consumer editions), version 1903, en-gb x64
Status: Pending download

We found some issues. Select this message to fix and finish updating.

Clicking 'Fix Issue' shows installation at 40% but then gets stuck with the above message.

I didn't even realise it had downloaded and started installing the update.
