Does anyone know if this is possible? Im sure it was in windows 8

Can i have 1 touchscreen and 1 standard monitor connected and still have the second touch screen function?

It kinda works but when i press anything on the touchscreen its replicating it on the first monitor like one big touch pad.

Any ideas if this is possible?

Thanks

Can confirm that it should work, providing you aren't replicating your screens as Nikumba said - We have various surfaces kicking around the office at work and they seem to work fine using touchscreen when docked into 2 extra screens.

As above it should work. Have a few setups similar to this but not tried with 8. With 10 there was an option somewhere to select which one is a touchscreen, but can't exactly remember where the option was. Think it was under "Tablet PC settings" or something along that line which allows you to select which one is the touch screen.

Ok thanks guys. Ill have a dig around to see. I know it was possible on windows 8 but struggling to get it to work on windows 10.

Another quick question related to the 7" touchscreen. This PC is manily used as a sim rig with the second 7" touchscreen running a windowed app called simhub. Problem im facing is the main screen i run at 4k resolution but i play my sims at 1440p.

If i have the windowed simhub app or any app for that matter opened on the second screen once i launch the game and it switches to 1440p the app on the 7" screen like get pushed off the screen and which is a tad annoying.

Does anyone know of an app or a way of locking the apps to the screen so when the re changes the windowed app doesant get shoved off the screen?

Thanks

It's a strange Windows behaviour from what I've noticed, when running full screen games in a resolution smaller than the Windows resolution for that monitor, the "excess" gets pushed to the second monitor. Best way is to either set the main monitor to 1440p as well, or run the game at 4K.
