I just formatted my Windows 10 partition and reinstalled it. The activation page automatically showed that it was activated with a digital license. Does this count as a reactivation? I ask this because I believe the number of times you can activate Windows 10 is limited.

Once upgraded to windows 10 the activation is done via hardware ID and not a product key unless you bought a OEM or retail version of W10.

Once the PC is online it will auto activate via the hardware ID of the PC, if the mobo was changed then the hardware ID changes which then will not activate.

No limitation on number of activation's but as above activation is now tied to the hardware (motherboard) ID.

It says in this article that if your device does not reactivate then one of the reasons is "You reached the limit on the number of times you can reactivate Windows on your device." This shows the number of reactivation attempts is limited.
