Windows 10 audio issues

hey guys,

Has anyone had issues with windows cutting out sound when you switch between programmes and having to manually change audio format (defaults to 32 bit studio quality but most programmes wont work above 24 bit dvd quality)
Are there any permanent fixes for this? The speakers work fine when used with my phone, tablet and linux machine so im assuming this is an issue with windows.

Using M-audio bx8-d3's with an m-track hub connected via USB

games are usually okay, spotify/chrome/anything thats at a lower quality wont play unless i manually change the audio quality in the windows settings.

leaving it lower quality might be the way to go for now then
Not sure if theres any benefit with games at 24/96 but if you listen to CDs or any other lossless audio and you have the hardware to support it always worth putting it up
