So ive been having an audio problem with my PC for sometime and cant seem to find out what it is.

To give a rundown, Connected to my PC I have:

a pair of Q acoustics 3020 speakers, which run to a lefy 2020a AMP which connects to PC through 3.5mm to line out on motherboard.

Philips shp500 which is connected by 3.5mm to front port,

There are setup as individual sources and I switch between the 2 when needed.

I also have a pair of HyperX cloud2's which I use for gaming. These connect through USB with hyperx's inline connecter thingy.

The problem im having is when switching to the USB headset and back to speakers. It seems to affect the overall system volume and reduces it and compresses it (quiet sounds almost inaudible). Id say it reduces it by around 40% or so. (Does not change the volume slider, they remain the same at all times, but sound is still reduced)

Its a weird one to explain, But say for instance the speakers are running at normal volume, I will then plug in the hyperx clouds through USB, When I unplug them and go back to speakers. The volume output is significantly lower despite nothing changing in any settings/sliders etc.
This doesnt appear to affect the SHP500's through the front audio 3.5mm port, Just the speakers from the line out port.

Anyone Idea as to what may be causing this?
