Windows 10 automatically compressing folders?

I have this issue where each time I boot up some random files and folders have been compressed and show with the little blue arrows next to the icon.

This is only happening to folders on C drive and usually Desktop, Intel and App data folders.

I can un-compress them each time by going to advanced and unchecking the box but each time I re-boot they are compressed again.

I have no idea what is causing this, I don't have one drive installed.

Any ideas why this is happening all of a sudden?

Have you set the drive to compress? Check drive properties to see if it is ticked.

Nope drive is not set to compress. It’s seems to be random folders on the c drive like the app data folder. I can un compress and it’s back with the blue arrows a day later

Free up some space on your drive and it should stop. Also uninstall KB4023057 if you have it installed. More about that here:
