my windows 10 pc says 'add bluetooth or other device', but fails to coonect.

is it a driver issue, as why would my pc say 'add bluetooth or other device' if it doesn't support it?

can anyone advise?

It says 'Add Bluetooth or other device'.

My system, which I can 100% guarantee doesn't have Bluetooth or any other kind of wireless, has the option, but it's only there for the 'other'.

From a very superficial look at your motherboard's specs. it doesn't appear to have built-in Bluetooth.

ok, so my mobo is too old, but how can i make it so my pc can receive bluetooth?
what about bluetooth usb dongles?

Either a usb stick or pci card. I have a wifi pci card that is also bluetooth (I dont use the wifi as I am wired) that I use for headphones/xbox controller.

USB cheapest, can get one sub £10.

USB is the cheap option, i'd probably go for a TP-Link Nano if i were needing one (it's a least a brand i recognise and under a tenner).

I just picked up the TP-Link UB500 (Bluetooth 5.0) USB Nano receiver and its a big improvement on range using Sony XM3 headphones over the previous TP Link Nano I owned. The range and signal has definitely improved. :)
