Ive been running Windows 10 since release and have always had a quick boot time (ssd drive installed). Fastboot in power options.

It boots from cold into the desktop normally in 10 seconds.

Since some latest updates (not sure which ones) its been really slow.
It gets to the login screen very quickly but after my password is typed in it takes another 15-20 seconds to get to the desktop.
This isnt on every boot, sometimes it takes the normal 2 seconds after the password has been entered.

Ive checked msconfig to see if there are any programs causing high slowdown but there arent.

Has anyone else had this issue?.
Ive read on the net that some people have fixed it by having the taskbar not autohide but this hasnt fixed mine.

Turning off auto-hide on the taskbar has fixed the problem. Boots every time now within 5 seconds.

Reading on the net it looks like this is a bug that microsoft still havent fixed and a lot of people have been having the same issue.

Good tip that thanks. Previously hibernate/Fastboot plus certain USB 3.0 devices have been adding a delay but that's finally made the login almost instant!

I using windows 10 at the moment, sometimes sound goes off without reason, and laptop working slower than it was with windows 8
