Change motherboards and reactivate your existing copy?

Mines one of the original Windows 8 upgrades. My Win8 was a retail version.

I've been using W10 since it was available and I've just changed my motherboard and had no issue. Windows has carried on as if nothing had happened and there was a biggish update a few days ago which was accepted as normal.

Yeah it should be fine, just contact Microsoft if anything goes wrong.

I upgraded to window 10 from the windows 8 pro £25 deal Microsoft did when win8 was first released

Will I be able to change my motherboard with this version ?

^ I picked up 8 on the same deal, and as it's retail I believe that should be ok.
