Hi

Since the Windows 10 Creator Update, my ability to use steam streaming or other apps such as splashtop has changed. Before the update, playing games via streaming tech was flawless, smooth and lag free (fully wired setup) across all my Windows 10 Pro HTPCs. The host is a Xeon 1231v3 machine with 1070 GTX and Windows 10 Pro.

Now, all my games have a stutter every few seconds. Doesn't matter how graphically intensive the game is or whether it is on the SSD or HDD, it just 'pauses' for moment before continuing on smoothly.

I use Splashtop for remote control and steam streaming for games and running games via both methods produces the same result.

Did a complete reinstall of Windows 10 with creator and the issue has persisted.

Anyone else suffer from this? I'm about to download the drivers prior to the current release and see if those make any difference.

Thoughts are appreciated.

check to see if xbox recorder isn't running in the background - I know it can sometimes cause issues with streaming and recording by causing hitching......but we really need more information like pc specs......make sure drivers are up to date; and also what you're streaming can also make a difference; along if you've got video card with bunk drivers can cause the same issue.

Turned off everything that wasn't needed. Specs:

Intel Xeon E3-1231v3
Asrock Rack E3C224
Kingston 8GB DDR3 ECC
nVidia 1070 GTX
SSDs & HDDs

Full network is 1GBe wired through HP procurve 48 port switch

HTPC clients are Sandybridge or higher generation, all with at least 4 GB ram.

Day before Update to Creator, everything worked as expected... Subsequent days, I have the stutter. Steam streaming performance overlay clearly shows the latency line jumping up every few seconds.

No other drivers installed apart from those needed for gpu, cpu and motherboard by Microsoft.

So it appears that it might only be the Lego games by TT Games, rather than others... I've been trying a few more and they're all stable at 60 FPS without the lag... Shame, was just getting in to Lego Jurassic World too!

best to trial and error through things i had a nightmare with the update.broke editing software and recording software also nvidia issues.
