Windows 10 does not see my USB 3.0 Drive

I have '2' 2TB USB 3.0 Western Digital 2.5" portable drives which I use to make backup copies of my files.

Windows 10 finds the first drive straight away when connected. After backing up my files to the first drive I eject it via system tray icon and only remove it when Windows says it is safe to do so.

Problem begins here...
With the first drive safely removed, I then attempt to connect the other drive to make my second backup. Unfortunately, this is where the problem occurs as Windows will not find the drive until I restart the PC. it doesn't matter which drive I use first or which USB 3.0 port it is connected to!!!

Has anyone else had the same problem and managed to solve it, please help?

Hi deadite66

Thank you for responding, based on a previous experience on a Windows 7 setup this was the first thing I tried but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem. You'd think Windows 10 would be able to see another drive of the same type that was connected so soon afterwards.
