Windows 10 explorer.exe crashes

This is currently doing my nut!
Upgraded to Win 10, however since first log in I get a issue with explorer.exe crashing maybe 30 seconds after loading. It tries to re-launch a few seconds later and then closes again. From there the only way I can do anything is via Ctrl+Alt+Del > Task Manager. Where I can browse using windows explorer but cannot re-launch explorer.exe.

Any ideas what might cause this issue?

Still does it after sfc /scannow

Last time I saw something like this, it was an outdated Start menu replacer, which was borked by an update.

Whilst that's probably not the issue in your case as you're on Windows 10, I'd go looking for anything that adds items to the context menu.
Prime culprits would be stuff like archive software (Adding extract command), antivirus software (Scan me), media players etc. etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, gave it a try but still explorer.exe crashes.

Copying everything off now ready to repair/roll back/fresh install unless a solution appears by tomorrow evening.
