Windows 10 gone screwy

Hi,

My windows has gone very screwy. Right clicking the start icon does nothing but right clicking anywhere else works fine. Control panel and system restore don't load. I've tried a sfc / scannow and ran a windows defender and hitman pro scan which came back clear. It was working earlier and all I've done since was install amazon music from the ms store and uninstall it a few hours later. I'm running win 10 2004 with all updates. I have also looked through google for similar issues but none of the solutions seem to work for me.

Can anyone help?

I had that happen to me twice with an older build of Win10, normally a reboot fixes it.

I also find disabling fast startup makes Win10 more stable in general.

Mine did that as well before I installed from fresh. I think it was a malware or a virus. Basically lost all controls and cannot start my AV or even windows defender.
