Windows 10 installation issue

I don't understand why Windows 10 is doing this at all...

I have a tablet. It came with Windows 10 preinstalled and I set it up. The desktop didn't look right, taskbar looks basic, with this awful Windows 8 style menu which is permanent, its always there, I can't get rid off it. When I open a window the close, minimize are missing. So I wiped the drive and started from scratch but its doing it again.... why is the desktop looking like this?

Is it in tablet mode?
Either look in settings/system
Or press windows key +a

Looks like desktop of original surface devices
Though those were running windows rt

Make and model number would be helpful

Its in tablet mode... I sorted it. I didn't know what it was because I did a Windows 10 install on another tablet of the same kind and it displayed the regular desktop. I've never seen tablet mode before. All sorted now.
