Windows 10 installation question

Hi people
Im tempted to do a fresh install of windows 10 on a new bigger ssd as my upgrade from 7 seems to have some issues. (Every single cumultive update fails to install and uninstalls every fresh boot)
Would it be best to start from scratch and reinstall all motherboard drivers etc (is this even neccesary with 10?)
Or do a in OS reset then clone?

Personally - I'd do a clean install on the machine new drivers and all.
A pain in the rear, but the safest in the long run. Could save hours of faffing.
