Hi guys.

Just upgraded and done a clean install today, everything gone brilliantly apart from a couple little things. I seem to be having an issue with Samsung Magician and my EVO SSD's. Basically, I cant enable Rapid mode, I think because underneath where it shows you the criteria, where it shows the OS, Samsung Magician can't obtain info about the OS.

Anyone else having this issue?

yes maybe, here's a pic

magician software 4.6 was aimed at the 840 evo issues to upgrade them to the latest firmware.

I'm on 4.6 and still states a X next to the OS in rapid mode. to be honest I cant tell any performance increase with it enabled or not so I leave it disabled

Thing is if you are on 4.5 it doesnt tell you there is 4.6 !

Just wondering whether having Rapid installed is the cause of my Win 10 install failing.

Hi, click on system summary on the botton of Magician 4.6 it tells what OS your using, mine says Win 10.

It could be a bug in Magician, apart from that its working fine.

It work fine in my pc as it support under win 10... No software or hardwares problems when I bought USB stick for cheaper price and installed then activated full after clean install prefect working all way.. Try uninstall and reinstall and see if it work

Mine boots as fast now as it did with rapid mode enabled. Perhaps its disabled because its no longer needed with Win 10

Re-install Samsung Magician 4.4, rapide mode now works.:)

Agreed! I did this and I too get rapid mode in Win10, keep it at 4.4 until they fix it in newer version ;)

Also note I did a clean UEFI installation of Win10 and it does help with boot speed and most definitely shuts down quicker.

Did you find having rapid mode on made any diference for you? I have the same issue as others, just not sure if it is worth installing an older version of magician to get rapid mode working.

Yes I would say it is more responsive, I purposely researched why it wasn't working in newer versions and the general consensus was to rollback to 4.4

As far as I'm aware it uses your spare RAM to further increase speeds.

I think it's just that the 4.6 software doesn't recognise the new OS although 4.4 works fine with Win10.

I did manage to get the new firmware first via 4.6 for my 840 before rolling back to 4.4 ;)

Did not work for me. I have a 850 Evo and 4.4 does not even recognise my ssd. Decided to just wait.
