Hi I have had my pc back from ocuk for an issue rebooting
Seems after a week or so of running it started rebooting itself again.
So I used ddu removed gcard drivers did a reinstall of clean drivers to latest version and again after an hour of gaming it would reboot.
Temps are not high 50deg max on gcard
Now I tried a system restore and it keeps saying ur had corrupt files and can't do a restore so I have bitten the bullet and am now doing a clean format.
Problem. Is its been sat on 99% for ages and the hd river is not flashing
Is it safe to reboot at 99%?
Or will it hang for 5_6hours ??

Also I have an asus z170 deluxe board can anyone recommend what bloat ware I do not need to install after the format and also with ssd drive do I need to install the ssd drive cd ?

The rebooting on its own and corrupt files could be due to faulty memory. Actually owned a pair of memory sticks that Memtest couldn't find errors on but were responsible for those two issues, and swapping them out did the trick.

Would advise you to Memtest them anyway, as it will catch any errors more often than not.

You don't need any of the Utilities.

If Windows installs, run a sfc /scannow with Command Prompt as Admin, to check for corrupt files. You can run Memtest outside of Windows. Just need a DVD or USB drive with it, and boot with it.

thanks Danny.
in the end after a reformat
and getting artifacts on boot up from bios.
i just put my old gtx 970 graphics card in
i have not had a single issue installed the drivers, no artifacts on boot up.
i did a driver update they went in first time.
everything has now been running a good 4hours intense gaming and other tests.
and i have not had a single problem
i guess somehow my g card has developed a problem it was not overheating,
but the random freezing in windows, and just shutting down was really frustrating,
since i have my old 970gtx card installed not a single glitch.
even ocuk had stress tested my system for 5hours could not find any issues and sent it back to me.
but 3-4 days later the random freezing started again.
strange but there must be something wrong with this card.
maybe it got damaged in shipping back from uk to me?
really cant work it out but i did not initially have any artifacts coming from the gcard.
just freezing up.
then i developed artifacts and random freezing from cold booting.
