I have a sony vaio vpceb4j0e with Windows 10 installed. The laptop currently doesn't have a battery. When I go into the power options in control panel it doesn't matter which settings I choose for "plugged in", when I apply my preferred settings Windows completely ignores them and puts my laptop into sleep mode within 2 minutes. Then I have to login again with my pin.
When it first started happening it was a mild irritation. Now it is a major headache. My work involves constantly leaving the laptop for a few minutes then coming back to work on it. I am currently having to login 40 + times a day minimum and it is really getting on my nerves. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what could be causing this and how it could be remedied?
I thought it may be because no battery is present but why would that affect the "plugged in" settings?
Any advice would help because this laptop may end up going through the window if this carries on.
