I posted this in the W10 sub forum but thought I might have better luck here!

Finally got round to installing yesterday and so far, so good. However, I can't get my Synology NAS to show up in explorer. It's there under Other Devices and I can ping it but it wont show. I'm logging in with a local account and password (not a pin) and I've tried entering the credentials but still no luck.

Anyone help with this?

How do you access it? I just run to mine..

Start, run
\\nas

It usually just shows up in explorer under Networks. I can't access it from the run command either but I can connect through the synology assistant. DOing my head in now cos I can't map any drives or even point musicbee to where my music is.

There's loads of threads about turning the pin off but I don't login with the pin, just a local account. If I can't find a fix for this soon I shall be going back to W8.1 as I've wasted enough time on it already.

This was a clean install as well.

UPDATE: Removed the credentials and input them again as server name and IP. Using the run command I can now get access with the IP but not the server name and managed to map the drives I wanted. Network still not showing up in explorer though.

Sorted it now and, looking back, it was something simple. I changed the domain name from the default Workgroup to another one on both my PC and NAS, restarted and it shows up under Network in explorer. Hopefully this might help someone else out before they spend ages trying to figure it out :)
