Windows 10 OEM Vs Retail

Retail allows you to install the operating system on another system belongs it is uninstalled from the previous system.

OEM is tied to the motherboard it was originally installed / activated on.

Just a case of erasing the Hard drive or install the drive in the new system, so your always only running one instance.

If your upgrading through the Windows updates then it will keep majority of your programs, I think when I done mine I just lost CPU & GPU Z.

cool,,yes im thinking of just doing the upgrade NOT a fresh install,,,im still a bit worried though lol i quite like windows 7 but seems 10 is the place to be now,,,does it take long to upgrade?

So if I Buy a new Motherboard and it breaks down as long as I leave the HDD alone I would be allowed to use it again (retail)

Yes, belongs as there is only one instance of that operating system running, I have retail and upgraded to a X99 system and just left the SSD in place.
