Windows 10 & Office 2019 (won't now open office apps)

... other than a patch that went on last night (when I have told windows to not auto update damn it)... came on this morning and office won't open any apps, uninstalled, reinstalled and it just wont run word etc with the weidest of messages and cannot figure out the fix... so, whether I open a file on my desktop associated with office or I just use one of the office icons i.e. word for example, same error messages... any ideas? Driving me insane as I can't get into anything and do any work right now..

Doing my head in, windows updates and I can't get that one off either... any ideas or this happened to anyone? BTWm I can for the example below open this is word pad, so it'a nothing to do with knackered files or antyhing, it's like Office is just blocked or something... AND the apps exist on the shortcuts etc obviously.

Oh dear! The update, or your config, seems to have set you up with a roaming profile. I assume you use OneDrive based on your screen shots. If you click on OneDrive icon in the task bar and Open OneDrive folder, does the path relate to where the error message reports? OneDrive has in the past thought it knows best and made Desktop/Documents/Pictures moved to OneDrive rather than the local machine.

Your PATH variable has altered somewhere.

The path for your shortcut to Word should be "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\WINWORD.EXE" for example. Check that that path still exists.

Will check the first bit, however, even when I click directly on winword.exe and excel.exe etc etc I get the same, it's like it's just locked somehow...

Tried online repair of office?

yep, offline repair and online repair. I've uninstalled the whole thing and reinstalled as well, it's the maddest and most fustrating thing ever this is... the PC is left on 24/7 and came down this morning and just wouldn't open anything... then checked what updates and had a couple installed. I can't remove the cummatilive update

ok using "%PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Microsoft Office" I get the followuing which just opens the office folder...
