windows 10 recommended display settings 1360 x 768

as per title just changed the pc from a small monitor to a large lcd 1080p tv and its defaulted to 1360 x 768 as recommended display. whenever i try to choose 1920 x 1080 it looks massively zoomed in and unusable.

any suggestions how to fix it

Try changing the text size or resetting it back to 100% zoom?

You most likely need to use 1:1 setting on your TV, and use your video card brand control center so the display is edge to edge rather than overscanned (zoomed in)

its already set at that. problem is when i change the display to 1920x1080 its all zoomed in and distorted. ccc shows that the tvs maximum resolution is 1920x1080p it just wont format correctly to the screen

Use your TV's ratio setting and cahnge to 1:1

What TV aspect ratio options do you have?

Typically it's full, wide, auto, 4:3, stretch, zoom, 1:1 or other naming schcmes.

auto, full, 4:3, 4:3 stretch, 16:9 and 16:9 stretch.

i have tried all the various settings and none work.

the xbox one and 2 laptops all display correctly on the tv which has confused me

Nah then you can't do it. None of those options include a 1:1 ratio

Although from second part I don't know why the xbox or laptops work fine.

if the pc wont list 1920x1080 as recommended then its nothing to do with the aspect ratio.

what model tv and how is it connected?

it does list 1920x1080 but is oversized when its selected

the tv supports 1080 as you can see in this pic

im assuming that they are all working fine where as on the pc there is some sort of problem.

You have ATI overscan slider somewhere.

shall get the model number just now. on a side note my son has informed me that the pc worked fine on the tv last week when he was using to game on
