as per title just changed the pc from a small monitor to a large lcd 1080p tv and its defaulted to 1360 x 768 as recommended display. whenever i try to choose 1920 x 1080 it looks massively zoomed in and unusable.

any suggestions how to fix it

TIA

Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display

Try changing the text size or resetting it back to 100% zoom?
its already set at that. problem is when i change the display to 1920x1080 its all zoomed in and distorted. ccc shows that the tvs maximum resolution is 1920x1080p it just wont format correctly to the screen

not sure if you can make this out

auto, full, 4:3, 4:3 stretch, 16:9 and 16:9 stretch.

i have tried all the various settings and none work.

the xbox one and 2 laptops all display correctly on the tv which has confused me

little update. the PC now does not select 1920x1080 nor 4096*2160 on the small cheap tv or the big living room tv however when i plug it into any of the childrens smaller 24"tvs it displays 1920*1080 prefectly.

tried uninstalling the amd drivers etc.

do you think a fresh install of windows 10 would do the trick

Sometimes, hardware is just incompatible. Use the drive sweeper for AMD, and reinstall the drive with the problematic display connected to see if it corrects anything.

No need to get shirty my friend :)
No one's getting shirty at all just pointing out the not so obvious;)

Shall give it a try this evening see how I get in tho
