Hi desperately seeking help getting my computer running correctly again.
When I'm surfing the net the pages take an age to connect then again to fully load. Even when this happens images may not load or it comes up error- reload. When I press reload it can load very quickly.
It's infuriating as it's quite a new computer and my old vista is plugged into the same router and works much faster. Wifi is also good. The download speed is 70 Mb/s so no speed issues.
It's running Win 10 home and I did have spybot and malwarebytes installed which didn't find any issues with viruses etc.
After scouring he net for answers and uninstalling this and that and changed all the settings that were recommended but nothing seems to improve it. I've tried firefox and chrome and changed all the recommended settings but no joy. I'm sure it never used to be this slow.
Eventually I gave up and did a full restore wiping everything off and reinstalling windows. Even with no 3rd part software it's the same. I've updated any drivers I could find and now I've run out of ideas completely.
The specs of the machine are Win10 home, i5-4690k @ 3.5 Ghz, 16Gb ram, 64 bit operating system x64 bit processor, Nviida gtx 970 graphics.
I'm at the end of my tether (and computing ability) any definitive ideas as to what to try next?
Cheers Spud.
