I currently run an Intel 4790K processor/Asus Z97 Deluxe/16GB Ram/3x SSD drives/Ethernet VM internet.
I am downloading backup files from my server via ftp (at less than 20mbps). Yet, ONLY doing this task Windows 10 is sluggish. I am looking at the Task Manager and can see these stats:
FTP Transfer Engine 15%
Microsoft Windows Search Protocol Host: 7%
Microsoft Windows Search Filter Host: 6%
DisplayFusion: 1%
Norton Security: 0.5%
and about 10 other processes consuming less than 0.5%
The computer is not responsive, if you move a window around there is a delayed lag.
When I first built this PC ~6 years ago running Windows 10 was so responsive, everything ran smooth and fast.
Anyone else experiencing the same?
