Windows 10 software to record the desktop

I've been using OBS Studio to record the desktop in the past, but now I'd like to find a bit of software that makes it a bit more obvious where you are clicking and what keys you are pressing.

Does anyone have any suggestions for more full-featured desktop recording than OBS Studio?

A couple springs to mind such as Dxtory or Mirillis.

I haven't looked at it in a while but D3DGear might be worth checking out. It also has a free trial so you've nothing to lose. https://www.d3dgear.com/

If you use Nvidia cards then shadowplay will allow you to record the desktop as well.

I ended up reinstalling the latest version of Xsplit Broadcaster in order to deal with recording my desktop. The advantage is I can use the same application for both recording and streaming to Twitch and it is nice and easy to use plus I already have a lifetime license for it so I might as well get the most out of it.

Use Shadowplay or the AMD equivalent if you've got either of their GPU's
