Hi,

Ever since upgrading to Windows 10 I've found Steam and Uplay to be a tad unstable. They can work without issue for hours but then randomly crash when either trying to open the app itself from the notification tray icon or just randomly in game.

I've tried reinstalling both apps but to no avail. I dont have any other issues with Windows 10 and had this issue even on a completely fresh install of 10.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I guess a fresh install should take a few things out of the equation.

Is your PC overclocked? Drivers up to date?

Yeah thing is this is already pretty much a fresh install, latest drivers for all hardware not just gpu and nope all at default clocks. No BSOD or any other stability issue. Only other quirk I can think of is occasionally the start menu button doesn't work and pc requires a restart (but I've heard that can be fairly common?)

In case anyone else has problems the Uplay issue is caused by Black Flag specifically in-game online settings.

The steam issue was very infrequent anyway but appears to be unstable when downloading whilst playing a game.

Thanks, but Ive isolated the issue with uplay and I now remember it was an issue with Blackflag on 7 too. Blackflag has quite a few online options for single player and uplay doesnt play nicely with them.

My issue is now resolved. :)
