Ive run out of space on my c drive.

ive been to setting/system/storage and change the locations to an alternative drive but whenever i try and download a game it says i have run out of space.

anyone have any ideas?

May I ask how big your C: drive is and what you have on it?

I keep my C: drive clear of pretty much everything apart from Windows and programs I need on an SSD.

Is there anything you can move over to your other drive? i.e. your page file.

c drive was 120gb.

all i install on it is windows and software too. all games install to a seperate drive.

Ive managed to clone C to my bigger ssd now which is 256gb

Even if you set the storage drive to another location, your C drive still needs some space to put things.
How low is your C drive at the moment?

I've got a 120GB and I've still got over 63GB of space free but without knowing what you have installed, it's hard to suggest what can be moved (I suggest My Docs, Downloads etc. be moved to an alternative drive).

weird, cant understand whats taking up all the room then.

managed to clone my hdd to the larger one. documents etc are moved to alternative drives.

If it's solid state you can turn off system restore and hibernation to free up some gigs and also run a low page file size

Edit: Nope, got me stumped. Strange that using a bigger C: drive its still giving issues.
