Windows 10 Technical Preview Feedback

Found a bug!! Windows 10 requires a bloody licence number for activation! Linux doesn't need one, why can't Microsoft get rid of these awful Activation codes!

There isn't any activation in this technical preview. No license key is needed. It's already activated but expired in April 2015. But, of course Linux is always open source FREE!

Mine failed to start up around choosing express or custom settings just before sign-in ,it just lockups at either wifi-fi settings or sign-in stage.

ISO SHA1 was checked after download as well.

I tried about five times before giving up and installing fresh Linux distro which was flawless as usual.

:)

Then you're doing something wrong.

All fine here, as usual....

It was really weird because it installed fine and said restarting ,but on first boot after install near sign-in it locks up,nothing I did.

All I can do is a fresh dvd burn and try later,I'm keeping score Windows 10 nil Linux 1 ;) .

Does anyone know how to properly report bugs / suggestions to Microsoft?

I've posted some very valid ones before on their forums, they get lost in the drivel.

There's a built in Windows Feedback app, it shows reported problems and lets you either rate up the existing ones or add your own.

Feedback on Microsoft is waaaaay too slow. Will they ever listen to your feedback? I doubt it.

With Linux, there's always someone and they'll respond to your feedback so FAST, sometimes within 24hrs, or even in some cases, within minutes/hours.
:D:D:D

Ok i had to reinstall the amd drivers but now bf4 is working and it seems a lot faster than windows 7. Probably thanks to the new directx that win8 people have been using all along. I am very pleased. Will test quake live next.

100% agree

I don't think Microsoft will not listen to YOU ALL. But probably listen to professional technical person with computer & hardware manufacturers.

Had a slight issue with DTS had to enable the mpc-be built in audio switcher to get dts to work with lav audio.

It seems audio is a bit better in windows8/10 as well over windows 7, difficult to notice but i think its bit better in quality, but may just be hearing things.

Quake live didn't work, wouldn't connect, may need to reinstall or something.

But so far no other issues.

Does anybody know how to remove the Search and Task View buttons that are on the taskbar? I can't seem to find any way whatsoever to get rid of them I hate having stuff pinned to my taskbar it drives me potty!
